Rectorseal 4-Ounce No. 5 Pipe Thread Sealant is a yellow-colored sealant that comes in a can container. This sealant is suitable for use in gas pressure ranges up to 2,600 psi and liquid pressure ranges up to 12,000 psi. It offers a full cure soft set pressure test immediately after application.

The application temperature range for this sealant is between 20 degrees to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, with a performance temperature range of -50 degrees to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. It has a flash point of 150 degrees Fahrenheit, a specific gravity of 1.38, and a viscosity of 40,000cp.

This sealant is manufactured in the United States by Rectorseal and is designed to seal, lubricate, and protect threaded pipes and fittings. It is a soft set slow drying compound that can be pressurized immediately for piping up through 2" and 100 psi for natural gas, air, and water only.

Ideal for use with a wide variety of fluids and gases, including potable water applications, this sealant is recommended for use on threaded galvanized steel, iron, brass, copper, aluminum, stainless steel, polyethylene, fiberglass reinforced, and PVC pipes.
